How do Hyun Jin Kim’s commissions work?

Please submit one photo that you would like to commission Hyunjin to transform into a captivating watercolor portrait painting.

Hyunjin will craft a masterpiece maintaining the lighting and likeness of the portrait, while allowing him creative freedom to determine the composition.

You are welcome to submit a portrait photo of anyone, including yourself, family members, loved ones, celebrities, or favorite characters. However, we are unable to accept artwork created by other artists, such as paintings or concept art, for the commission.

    Shipping

    • Shipping fee is FREE, the commission will be shipped directly from Korea using EMS.
    • The artwork will be shipped flat in a wooden box.

    Commission turnaround is generally 4 - 5 weeks per commission depending on the artist's queue.

     The commissioner is allowed to:

    • Use the copyrighted artwork for personal use only 
    • Print the art, and claim the right of their character but not the drawing itself
    • Use the art to promote themselves with proper credit given to the artists
    • If you break the copyright infringement in any way, every right you had to the drawing will be retracted.

    The following is considered Copyright infringement:

    • Taking credit for the creation of the artwork
    • Removing any watermarks/signatures
    • Altering the artwork without my, the artist's consent
    • Reproducing/using the copyrighted artwork commercially
